Unlike natural rubber (which returns energy to the system and causes high rebound) or butyl rubber (which reduces impact but creates linear force), Sorbothane converts impact energy into harmless heat through high hysteresis.

The Injury

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis occurs when repetitive heel strike impact overloads the plantar fascia — the thick band of tissue connecting your heel bone to your toes. Each hard landing sends a shock wave through the fascia that it can't fully absorb. Over time, micro-tears develop at the heel attachment point. The fascia never fully recovers between sessions, and inflammation becomes chronic.
