How our technology works
Every RTP product is built on real, tested materials science — not marketing claims. Here's what's actually happening, and the products that use it.
The science of shock absorption
Sorbothane®
A viscoelastic polymer trusted by NASA for vibration isolation. When impact hits Sorbothane®, the energy is absorbed and converted to heat — it doesn't bounce back into your joints. RTP uses it in our Dampeners and Heel Pads to cut the repetitive shock that leads to tennis elbow and heel pain.
ShockSorb® V3 absorbs 94.7% of vibration — clinically measured.
In-shoe stability
Polyurethane Grip
A high-performance synthetic polymer engineered for durable, high-friction grip. It locks your foot to your shoe through micro-surface friction — and unlike adhesives, it keeps working even when wet — preventing the internal slippage that causes blisters and black toenails.
