The Heel Pad XC is built with Sorbothane®, a visco-elastic polymer used in precision engineering worldwide — including aerospace applications by NASA — and rated by its manufacturer to absorb up to 94.7% of shock energy. Unlike standard foam inserts that wear out quickly and "bottom out," Sorbothane® converts impact energy into heat, maintaining its protective properties for millions of cycles.

Every heel strike sends a shockwave up through the ankle, knee, hip, and lower back — repeated impact that can aggravate issues like plantar fasciitis, knee strain, and tibial stress. Pressure relief map

The 3 small boxes on the feet show the balance points of the foot. Fig. 1 shows balance points before wearing Heel Pad XC, and Fig. 2 shows the balance points after wearing heel pad. Balance shifts to the ball of your foot and the center of the heels meaning your overall balance is corrected.
